Sustained wind and/or frequent wind gusts of 35 mph or higher will combine with considerable falling and blowing snow to produce widespread visibilities below one quarter of a mile. When Good Leaders Go Apathetic
TNT writes "Gung-ho since December of 2006, I hit a brick wall (figuratively, of course) early this year. Low attendance at meets, low interest on the boards, trouble getting attendees to the Vegas Meet, and lack of communication from a vital member combined to create in me a heaviness that turned into apathy and ambivalence toward the club. And that’s why I need to apologize. "

New Leadership Announced for Team Sol Colorado
Team Sol Colorado gives a sad farewell to Paul Gomez, its sitting President of 3 years, and welcomes the clubs third president, Tyson Thorne.
“Paul has done amazing work for the club and we’ll miss his leadership greatly. I hope he knows that — however involved he still wants to be — he is always welcome and he has friends here,” said Tyson.
Team Sol Colorado also welcomes Wyatt Talley as Vice President of the Colorado chapter. In the past the office of Vice president has had many incarnations, at one point being split between northern and southern Colorado. The new structure is a return to the original whereby there is one vice president over the state chapter.

If Denver Goes Green, Watch your Wallet
TNT writes "What's going on? Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper is striving to have a plan in place by year's end that will make Denver more energy efficient. While this sounds good on the surface, what it amounts to is the city taking more of your money. The proposal, called Denver's Climate Action Plan, has many controversial initiatives a few of which are: make residents who use large amounts of electricity and natural gas pay higher utility fees, hike insurance rates for people who drive long distances, and a mandate that homes must be upgraded to energy efficient standards before they can be sold.
